All students remanded or sentenced have the opportunity to participate in an educational program. The degree of involvement depends on the length of stay. Students will be assessed upon entry to assure proper placement in school programs. Progress reports on student achievement will be made available every three months.

Upon release from detention, the students will be able to further their education at College Heights Secondary School or the secondary school of their choice. Education staff will assist and counsel students to continue their educational plans if such a choice is made.
